Michelmores wins 'Excellence in Learning and Development' award at the HR in Law Awards
Michelmores' Learning & Talent Development team is proud to be named winner of the 'Excellence in Learning and Development' category at the 2019 HR in Law Awards.
The Firm's award for Excellence in Learning and Development follows the roll out of two strategic development programmes designed to fuel performance. Both programmes have encompassed a range of creative and innovative experiences and resources, aimed at fostering collaboration and peer-to-peer learning. The programmes will continue over the next 12-18 months, but the Firm has already seen tangible results, including a significant increase in its Best Companies score for Leadership.
Judges said that they were 'impressed by the clarity of the Firm's objectives, which were clearly linked to their overall business strategy and the demonstrable results'.
The other law firms shortlisted in the category were DLA Piper, Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner, Addleshaw Goddard, Freshfields and Gowling WLG.
Michelmores were also shortlisted in the category of Equality and Inclusion in recognition of the Firms Women@Michelmores campaign which aims to achieve true gender balance across the business, through a number of proactive initiatives aimed at removing potential barriers to progression.
Sam Jamieson, Head of Learning & Talent Development at Michelmores commented:
"We are delighted to have been recognised for our accomplishments in learning and development. The project was a real collaborative effort working with Aretai, Validatum and a number of different teams across the Firm. We are really proud of the results that we have seen in the workplace so far".
