Michelmores strengthens Projects team with hire of infrastructure specialist

Michelmores has strengthened its Projects team with the appointment of Ben Hogan as a partner, bringing the total number of partners at the firm to 59.

Ben has over 13 years' experience on infrastructure and commercial projects in a broad range of sectors, including waste, health, energy, education and transport, having worked for international law firms DLA Piper and Berwin Leighton Paisner.   He is also recognised for leading teams in relation to a number of high profile recent projects, including Essex Waste PFI Project, Gloucestershire Waste PPP Project and the DVLA Card Consumables Project.

Ben’s appointment bolsters Michelmores’ Projects team, which has established itself as a leader in the field since the introduction of the Private Finance Initiative over two decades ago. The firm has worked on more than 50 projects in the sector, representing award-winning authorities, private sector associations and subcontractors, as well as advising governments and other public sector organisations.

Head of PPP and Projects, Carol McCormack OBE, said:

“With a burgeoning public sector and public private partnership portfolio, it is only appropriate to be appointing a lawyer of Ben’s capability and reputation. His wealth of experience and specialist knowledge makes him a very welcome addition to the firm and I’m sure that he will significantly strengthen our team’s capabilities.”

Ben Hogan added:

“I am absolutely delighted to be joining such an ambitious and innovative firm and I am looking forward to contributing to the ongoing success of the team.”
