Michelmores LLP has seen its highest-ever number of rankings in this year’s Legal 500 – which independently reviews the practices of more than 1,000 UK law firms, teams and individuals, and the work that they have undertaken over the last 12 months.
Ten of Michelmores’ practice areas have moved up a tier in this year’s rankings, including fraud, debt recovery, health & safety, PFI, contentious trust & probate, property litigation, planning, IT & Telecoms, family and charities.
11 new practice areas have also been recognised for the first-time, including: education (schools), emerging markets, dispute resolution, professional negligence, defamation & privacy, insurance litigation for policyholders, insurance & reinsurance litigation, commercial property development, commercial property (general), family and energy.
Nine of the newly-ranked practice areas are from the firm’s London practice, highlighting its continued growth in the London legal market, supported by Michelmores’ Exeter headquarters.
Four Michelmores Partners have also been listed as leading individuals this year: Paul Paling for commercial property, Andrew Oldland QC for health & safety, Rehman Noormohamed for IT & telecoms and Laurence Vick for clinical negligence.
For 2015 there is a new category of recommended lawyers, in which 40 Michelmores lawyers have been ranked.
