Michelmores to Launch Russian International Trade Workshops

Michelmores LLP is launching a series of Russian International Trade Workshops to offer free advice to businesses interested in trading in Russia.

The first workshop, being held on 13 May, has attracted renowned speakers who, between them, have over 40 years' experience in operating in Russia:  Trevor Barton, the executive director of the Russo-British Chamber of Commerce and Dave Kenney, the director of business development at Albion (Overseas) Limited.

Speakers will give practical tips on the market, including the impact of recent political events on trade and investment. There will also be advice on how to set up a business in Russia and what potential bear traps await.

Tim Richards, Partner and Head of the Commercial Litigation Team, said: "Russia is an interesting market at the moment. In spite of the unstable political backdrop, there are still many investment opportunities, and its macroeconomic environment is actually very stable. The workshop should provide a valuable insight into what to think about when trading in Russia, which our speakers have done for many years."

The workshops are free and suitable for anyone already trading with Russia or who wants to explore the opportunities available. The first workshop is on 13 May 2014 from 0830 - 1030 at Michelmores, Woodwater House, Pynes Hill. Please contact gemma.bond@michelmores.com to reserve your place or for further information.
