Michelmores jumps up 11 places in national legal rankings

Michelmores has climbed up 11 places in The Lawyer's UK 200 Annual Report, achieving record turnover of £26.2 million for 2013/14 − a 17 percent increase on the previous financial year.

The annual report, which ranks UK law firms by levels of turnover, placed the Exeter-based firm in 89th position, having entered the Top 100 for the first time in 2013.  Michelmores saw steady growth to April 2014, recruiting 100 new staff in 2013 alone.

Malcolm Dickinson, the Managing Partner of Michelmores, said:

"Michelmores is an ambitious and growing business and we are thrilled to have climbed eleven places this year – reflecting the high quality work and staff commitment across the firm. We look to build on this success, by attracting the very best talent in order to develop our regional, national and international presence."

Since the 2010/11 financial year, Michelmores' revenue has increased by 41 percent, following the launch of its Bristol office in November 2012, as well as the continued expansion of its London team.

The firm was also named "Regional Firm of the Year" earlier this month, for its national and international work in the technology, media and telecoms sector, by the independently reviewed Legal 500 rankings.

Michelmores employs over 400 staff across its three offices and is actively recruiting across the firm.
