Michelmores shortlisted in the 2017 HR in Law Awards
Michelmores' HR team has been shortlisted for the HR in Law Awards 2017, in the category of Excellence in Reward and Recognition. The annual awards recognise and celebrate the achievements of HR professionals operating in the legal sector across a broad spectrum – from recruitment and development to diversity and employee engagement.
The team has been shortlisted for its work in enhancing the Firm's approach to reward and recognition during 2016.
One of the key aims of the HR team was to improve transparency around the Firm's reward and recognition processes, as well as introducing individual performance-based bonuses for the first time. As part of the changes, Michelmores introduced a new annual performance based bonus scheme, named PRAISE – Performance, Recognition And Incentive SchemE. In addition, and in the spirit of celebrating exceptional contribution throughout the year, an 'On the Spot' initiative was introduced, where awards are made on a monthly basis.
Since Michelmores' new incentive arrangements were launched, the Firm's score in the 'Fair Deal' category of the annual Best Companies survey has increased each year-on-year.
The winners of the HR in Law Awards will be revealed at an awards ceremony on 4 May 2017 at the Honourable Artillery Company in London.
Colette Stevens, HR Director at Michelmores commented:
"It is fantastic that the HR team's hard work to launch the new incentive arrangements has been recognised, we are delighted to be shortlisted. Our PRAISE and On the Spot Schemes provide us with fantastic opportunity to celebrate and recognise our high performing talent. We are proud of our ability to attract and retain the very best people at Michelmores and so employee satisfaction is something that we take very seriously. Fingers crossed for the 4 May!"
