Michelmores celebrate the success of CILEx Fellows
On 10 October 2016, Michelmores hosted a celebration presentation and reception for three colleagues who have recently been admitted as Fellows with the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (FCILEx).
The certificates were presented by CILEx COO – Linda Ford and CILEx President – Martin Callan. In addition, Lynne Squires – Business Development Manager gave a presentation to Michelmores' CILEx members about CPD and the process of applying for Fellowship.
Deborah commenced the CILEx Graduate Fast-Track Diploma whilst at her previous firm. She then decided to focus her experience on clinical negligence, securing a role as a paralegal at Michelmores in 2013. Deborah completed her studies and period of qualifying employment, before submitting her work-based learning portfolio and subsequently qualifying as a Fellow of CILEx.
She now assists the Head of Department with high value and complex clinical negligence claims, whilst handling a caseload of her own.
Caroline commenced her CILEx training in 2007. Caroline has specialised in company secretarial and corporate transaction support work. She has developed the company secretarial service from an ad hoc service to existing clients, to a team of three specialists, advising close to 300 client companies on all aspects of company compliance.
Ellen joined Michelmores from a background in illustration and design and spent the next five years studying with the CILEx Law School. Ellen went on to manage a debt recovery contract for the LAA, and has built on her litigation experience, including representing the last three Lord Chancellors.
Ellen now leads Michelmores' eight-strong Asset and Debt Recovery Team, is part of the Commercial and Regulatory Disputes Team, and specialises in high value debt recovery, in the County and High Courts.
Sam Jamieson – Head of Learning & Talent Development commented:
"We were delighted to be able to congratulate Caroline, Deborah and Ellen in the company of Martin Callan and Linda Ford. This is a significant milestone in their career and we recognise that they have worked incredibly hard over a number of years. They will now go on to mentor others through their CILEX journey and we wish them every success in their roles at Michelmores"
