Building of the Year 2015

Sponsored by Girling Jones

Congratulations to Abbey Sands, winner of the Building of the Year category at the Michelmores Property Awards 2015.

Abbey Sands is a mixed-use waterfront development situated in the heart of Torquay − designed by Kay Elliott Architects for Havard Estates. It comprises 13 five star holiday apartments, 14 open market apartments, restaurant units on the ground and first floors and extensive public realm works. The project has transformed a former derelict hotel site on the seafront and is inspired by the art-deco tradition of the British seaside. It is a highly successful new destination on a much-loved promenade in the English Riviera.
