The EU General Data Protection Regulation 2016 (GDPR), which comes into force on 25 May 2018, will be the biggest reform of data protection and privacy law in over two decades.

The GDPR replaces the existing Data Protection Act 1998 (DPA), adding a number of key responsibilities and requirements. Like the DPA, the GDPR will apply to schools and academies.

There will be a number of important changes and it is vital that schools and academies prepare now to be ready. This seminar will provide an overview of the GDPR and will focus on practical points that schools need to take now, in order to be prepared.

The seminar will last for approximately one hour, consisting of a presentation of the key legal principles and time for specific questions and group discussion.

To book your place on this seminar, which is free of charge, please RSVP to Hannah Alford via the button below.
