Tim heads the Commercial Dispute Resolution team, the Manufacturing sector and is also Chair of the Firm's Strategy Committee. He joined the firm in 2000 having spent his early career at Hogan Lovells, Harneys in the BVI as a partner and Pinsent Masons as a partner.
Tim is a commercial litigator with vast experience in handling a range of commercial disputes, including shareholder and contractual claims, cross-border disputes and trademark/passing off disputes. He has a reputation of being a hugely accomplished litigator, as well as being proactive in alternative dispute resolution. He is a CEDR and ADR Group trained mediator and regularly conducts mediations.
Tim is an active member of the Manufacturing team, and a large part of his client base comprises companies from this sector, both in the UK and internationally.
- Successfully terminating an Australian distribution agreement, entered in to by a well-known children's sleep product brand, and in so doing, saving the client over £1M.
- Assisting a financial services company in protecting the abuse of data from a departing senior employee.
- Acting for a microchip manufacturer, and working together with German lawyers to defend proceedings brought against the manufacturer in Germany relating to leasing agreements.
- working on a LCIA arbitration for a Dutch client involved in the industrial lighting sector.
