I am an Associate in Michelmores’ Commercial team who is based in our London office. I am also part of the cross-practice Technology & Innovation and Data Protection and Privacy groups.

I have an MBA from a top-30 American MBA program and over 20 years’ experience in advising suppliers and both private and public sector end-user clients in the ICT, e-commerce, cybersecurity and financial services sectors.

My experience includes acting for a range of local, national and international clients in relation to large scale ICT projects, outsourcings, procurements, standard supply terms and conditions and service level agreements, software licensing, website development and hosting terms and conditions, system development agreements. I also have advisory and transactional experience regarding (i) commercial contracts and (ii) data protection and freedom of information issues.

I have spent time on secondment at three of Michelmores’ award-winning clients.

I hold the ISEB Certificate in Data Protection.

I was an accomplished long distance runner, medalling in both the Commonwealth Ultra Distance and World University Cross Country Championships.

I have been at Michelmores since 2010, having trained and worked at a well known regional firm.

Recent experience

Advising various national police forces on the procurement of operationally critical information technology and / or contract management of various key IT contracts (including complex contract disputes).

Operational lead in relation to Surrey County Council’s £120M+ Unified Communications Over Regional Networks (UNICORN) project for WAN, LAN and/or Voice Communications services and support arrangements to the public and third sector in Surrey, Berkshire and the immediate proximity.

Acting for Landmark Information Group and Searchflow (part of Daily Mail and General Trust plc) in relation to a wide range of its upstream and downstream contracts.

Advising a range of UK and international clients in relation to applicable data protection legislation in the UK, including drafting relevant documentation, advising regarding requirements for the international transfer of personal data and providing general compliance advice.

Ongoing advice to a leading cybersecurity company in their provision of managed cyber threat detection services to FTSE 100 and global companies.
