Emily is an Associate in the Technology, Media & Communications team.
She joined Michelmores in 2010, qualified in 2012, and moved to the London office in 2013. Emily studied Law and Chemistry at the University of Exeter, before completing her LPC at the College of Law, Guildford.
Emily advises on a wide range of commercial contracts and issues, specialising in intellectual property and IT matters.
Her experience includes drafting and negotiating framework agreements and terms and conditions for the sale of goods and services, including complex IT services. She also advises on commercial arrangements involving intellectual property rights including licences, assignments and collaboration agreements. Emily also has experience in consumer law and financial services regulation.
- Working on secondment in the research and innovation team of a university, assisting with all aspects of intellectual property, from creation to commercialisation.
- Assisting Agilisys Limited, an IT and business service provider, with day-to-day business arrangements and larger project work contracting with public sector clients.
- Advising a leading publisher with the settlement of a cross-border dispute regarding an intellectual property licence and use of data.
- Working with a financial services firm launching new online products and services to investor clients, drafting the client agreement and ensuring regulatory compliance by working with the financial services experts at Michelmores.
