Deborah is a Chartered Legal Executive in the Clinical Negligence Team.
Her experience encompasses a wide range of clinical negligence and personal injury work. In addition to her own caseload, she assists Laurence Vick, head of the team, with complex, high value paediatric cardiac surgery claims.
Deborah studied Law and Criminology at The University of Portsmouth. Prior to joining Michelmores in 2013, her role at a claimant personal injury firm saw her handling a large and varied caseload; she gained particular experience in claims for accidents at work, occupier's liability and product liability claims, and was engaged in the PIP breast implant litigation.
Deborah is a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) and Devon & Exeter Medico-Legal Association (DEMLA).
• Assisting in preparation of key legal documents in child cardiac claims, including a multi-million pound settlement
• Close involvement in a number of high-profile inquests concerning deaths of children affected by failings at University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust and Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust
• Successfully obtaining compensation for a woman who was left with a retained swab after surgery
