Alexander Wood


Alexander is a Partner in the Banking, Restructuring & Insolvency team, and is based in the London office.

Alexander practices corporate and financial restructuring and insolvency work acting for all stakeholders, insolvency practitioners, lenders, borrowers and directors. This includes transactional, contentious, domestic and cross-border work. He is an active member of R3, and advises on enforcement options, administrations, receiverships, liquidations, CVAs and all related litigation matters.

Clients benefit from the experience Alex gained during two in-house banking secondments, for RBS Specialised Lending Services and Barclays Business, which included a stint in Spain. Alexander is a fluent Spanish speaker.

Recent Experience

  • Advising directors on £750m debt and corporate restructuring and disposal of operating business, ensuring a satisfactory return to stakeholders, whilst safeguarding directors responsibilities.
  • Advising a board of a large regional airport on the insolvency aspects of the group, and consequent restructuring and disposal of the airport.
  • Advising IBRC Group on the status of customer funds held within group, and the impact on the overall financial status of the group companies.
