Sean Turner Inquest Begins

Coroner's investigation into death of 4-year-old begins today

Sean Turner died at the Bristol Royal Children's Hospital (BRCH) in March 2012, several weeks after undergoing major cardiac surgery. He was 4 years old.

Sean's is the second in a series of high-profile inquests concerning child deaths at the BRCH, with the Luke Jenkins inquest having concluded in November 2013.

Sean's parents believe that failures of care led to his death, and have instructed Michelmores to represent them for the inquest and in their subsequent claims against the hospital Trust. The inquest is expected to run for around a week.
