Michelmores supports Plessey's Tour of Devon in aid of Prostate Cancer UK

Michelmores was the main sponsor of client Plessey's fourth corporate hospitality and fundraising event, the Tour of Devon, which took place on 7 September 2017.

The tour, a premier 170km cycling event around Dartmoor National Park, was in aid of Prostate Cancer UK. Prostate cancer currently affects 250,000 men in the UK. It is the most common cancer in men, and is predicted to become the most common of all cancers in the UK by 2030.

The funds raised by Plessey will help to provide vital support and information to men and their families, fund research into the causes and treatments of the disease, and campaign to give men’s health the prominence it needs to influence others. So far, the event has raised over £3,000.

Ben Voysey, BD Executive at Michelmores and member of the Michelmores Cycle Network, who took part in the Tour, commented:

"We were delighted to have been the main sponsor for the Plessey Tour of Devon 2017. It was a great event for a fantastic cause and a really good opportunity to spend a day in the saddle with businesses from across the region and beyond."
