Michelmores has been nominated in the category of “Best Work Placement – Regional Firm” for its Summer Vacation Scheme in the LawCareers.net Training and Recruitment Awards 2016.
The LawCareers.net Training and Recruitment Awards honour the firms and individuals offering their recruits the best possible start to their legal careers. Firms were assessed on their overall recruitment process, the training they offer and the quality of their work placement schemes – compared with their peers.
Michelmores recruit to retain, viewing all trainees as potential future Senior Associates and Partners, and as such, are dedicated to their successful development. The Firm’s graduate recruitment programme and Summer Vacation Scheme is therefore as much about candidates getting to know Michelmores as a place to work, as it is about the Firm getting to know them.
The Firm’s Summer Vacation Scheme gives candidates the opportunity to spend time in one department for the week where they are given a hands-on insight into one area of law and life as a trainee by attending client meetings and dealing with ‘real work’.
