Do Medical Tourists Generate Millions for NHS?

Jeremy Hunt Claims Immigrants Cost NHS Millions

While the Health Secretary Jeremy Hunt has recently declared that immigrant users of the NHS are costing taxpayers millions, a government-funded study submitted in January shows that in fact the UK is a net 'exporter' of medical tourists: while 52,000 people entered the UK for treatment in 2010, 63,000 UK citizens actually sought healthcare abroad.
