Michelmores appoints QC to its partnership

Exeter law firm Michelmores LLP has become the first law firm in the South West to appoint a Queen's Counsel to its partnership.

Andrew Oldland QC specialises in financial crime, the regulatory aspects of maritime, fisheries and environmental law and health & safety offences.

Mr Oldland, who became a Queen's Counsel in April, is head of the firm's regulatory team. He has held a number of senior regulatory and prosecution roles, including standing counsel to HM Revenue & Customs.

Michelmores managing partner Malcolm Dickinson said: "Andrew brings a wealth of experience and specific expertise to our business group and will greatly enhance the quality representation for corporate and business clients.
