Tom is a member of the Technology, Media and Communications (TMC) team at Michelmores. He has experience in advising clients in the IT, media, e-commerce and financial services sectors ranging from large corporations to small to medium enterprises.
Tom has expertise in drafting and negotiating agreements with a technology component whether they are major projects or day to day arrangements, including outsourcing, software and systems licensing and development agreements. Tom has also drafted and negotiated agreements dealing with the creation, exploitation and distribution of content, including via television and the internet. He has also advised on regulatory issues surrounding the use of content in the UK. Most of the areas of work that he is involved with will relate to the commercial arrangements for managing, using and protecting intellectual property.
Tom has expertise in advising on regulatory and consumer compliance issues including consumer terms and conditions, consumer credit and financial services regulation, advertising and marketing, e-commerce and distance selling issues, data protection and the distribution of electronic goods.
Tom joined Michelmores in 2009 from the Media, Communications and Technology team at city law firm Olswang.
