Richard trained with a leading international law firm before qualifying into Michelmores' Projects team in September 2005. Prior to studying Law with IT, Richard worked in the computer games industry for five years, in both technical and key creative roles, and retains a particular interest in ICT / TMC related procurements.
Richard assists with all aspects of PFI / PPP work and specialises in EU public procurement law, advising public-sector (and private-sector clients engaging with the public-sector) on their approach to the competitive procurement process, including compliance issues, procurement strategy and process, choice of procedure, early market engagement, technical specifications, the preparation of OJEU notices, competitive dialogue and tender documentation, setting up frameworks, selection and award criteria, evaluation methodologies and audit requirements.
