Michelmores partner becomes Air Ambulance Trustee

David Charlesworth becomes Air Ambulance TrusteeMichelmores private client partner David Charlesworth has been appointed to the Board of Trustees for the Devon Air Ambulance Trust (DAAT).

DAAT is the only single county air ambulance charity to operate two helicopters and is among the first to own one of the aircraft outright.  The service operates from two air bases - in Exeter (Middlemoor) and from Eaglescott Airfield in North Devon - and can reach 50% of Devon within five minutes and the remainder within 15 minutes.

In its 17 year history, DAAT funded air ambulances have flown over 15000 missions.

David Charlesworth said: "Every time I now see the air ambulance fly over, I feel a sense of pride and strong personal connection. It is one of the most important and worthwhile enterprises I have ever been associated with... a major responsibility."
