Michelmores is once again inviting local businesses to sponsor the firm's acclaimed annual charity run.

More than 1,200 runners are expected to enter this year's event, which will take place in Exeter city centre for the 11th time in June. The race is again raising funds for Hospiscare as its main charity, as well as supporting the Echo's We Care campaign.

To date, the run has raised more than £180,000 for local charities, including over £30,000 last year alone.

A number of sponsorship opportunities are still available, ranging in cost from £100 to £1,000.
These include the option to sponsor prizes and medals, and to have logos printed on race shirts, entry forms, the starting arch and the event's website page.

Companies are also being sought to provide refreshments for runners after the race and items for goody bags given to participants.
Michelmores' Sarah Coleman said the response so far from sponsors had been positive. She said: "With the amount of runners involved and coverage of the event in the Express & Echo, it's in their interests to sponsor the run, and also they are helping a good cause in Hospiscare, which is a local charity."
