Michelmores Charity Run
The 2009 Michelmores Charity Run took place on Tuesday 2 June 2009
Now firmly established as an important summer event in Exeter, the Michelmores Charity Run is a 5K run that takes place in the city centre. First held in 2000, the event has now raised over £150,000 for local charities and attracts sponsorship from a wide range of local businesses.
The run starts in Exeter's historic Cathedral Yard and finishes in the grounds of JD Wetherspoon's Imperial Hotel, where a jazz band and refreshments help to create a garden party atmosphere as the runners recover and socialise.
Individuals and teams are welcome to enter, with prizes awarded for the first to finish plus those who raise the most sponsorship.
Michelmores Charity Run 2009 - The Results!
This year's event took place on Tuesday 2 June, in aid of Hospiscare. Over 1000 people took part in the race and it is hoped that in excess of £30,000 has been raised, although it will take a few weeks to confirm the final total!

Charity Run 2009 - Information for runners
- Starting on the Cathedral Green at 18.40 and finishing at Wetherspoon's Imperial in New North Road
- Do it at your own speed; join in and have some fun!
- All entrants receive a voucher entitling them to a free drink (beer, wine or soft drink)
- Spectators welcome - ask your friends and family to encourage you along the route!
- There is a 1200 entrant limit so please apply early to avoid disappointment
