Real Estate Transactions
- Advise on environmental issues and liabilities related to the land and any associated buildings, plant and machinery
- Advising on the structure of the transaction to minimise environmental risk and liability
- Liability transfer provisions within the land contract (including appropriate indemnities and warranties)
- Development projects including remediation of contaminated land, dealing with nature conservation constraints, environmental impact assessment, and associated planning issues
- Liaison with brokers for negotiation of bespoke environmental insurance
- Identifying, instructing and liaising with environmental consultants
- Liability for escapes of pollution and creation of new contamination, including impact of the Environmental Damage Regulations
