Diversity and Equality at Michelmores
We believe in creating a culture of inclusivity, where individual differences are embraced. We therefore actively promote a diversity and equality programme.
In particular we:
- Recognise that everyone that the firm interacts with is an individual. It is the difference between people that is the source of creativity
- Acknowledge that best practice in this area cannot be achieved overnight. We actively seek out ways to learn from the business community, from our clients and our employees to ascertain how we can enhance what we do to promote and celebrate diversity
- Actively promote a policy and practice of equality and opportunity in employment for all, irrespective of their age, disability, gender, race, religion or belief, sex, sexual orientation, marriage or civil partnership, pregnancy or maternity, all of which are "protected characteristics"
- Aim to create an environment in which people from all backgrounds can work together harmoniously, by combating prejudice, stereotyping, harassment and undignified and disrespectful behaviour
