Andrew joined the Business Group of Michelmores in 2011 and is Head of the Regulatory Team.

Andrew is a barrister and became a Queen's Counsel in April 2011. He has held a number of senior regulatory and prosecution roles, including standing counsel to HM Revenue & Customs and the 'A' lists of counsel for both the Attorney-General and the Serious Fraud Office. He also frequently acts against government departments and agencies on regulatory matters.

Andrew specialises in a wide range of regulatory matters, and has particular expertise in financial regulation (including anti-corruption and anti-money laundering), maritime, fisheries, transport, environmental law and health & safety. He regularly acts for large corporate clients and insurers facing proceedings for regulatory and health & safety offences. He is recognised as a specialist in restraint and confiscation proceedings.

His maritime practice includes collisions at sea, onboard accidents, pollution and licensing for marine planning applications.

Andrew is a highly experienced advocate and is ranked in Band 1 for crime in the Chambers Directory. He is able to provide continuity of representation from initial advice through to the conclusion of any court or tribunal proceedings.

Andrew has been a Recorder of the Crown Court since 2004.
